The Juniper House

Boutique hotel · Logo Design

A key to a place that feels alive. Logo Design by Madderquill, 2026.

The Juniper House logo presentation cover

The brief

A logo for a boutique hotel. It should feel warm, crafted and alive — personal and natural rather than corporate.

The idea

Every hotel stay begins with a key. This key is brass and classic, but it grows like a plant: the bow is a juniper berry, the shaft becomes a stem, and leaves open along it. It says what a boutique hotel should feel like — personal, natural and alive. A garden, not a corridor.

Design direction

Warm, crafted, alive. Deep forest green, brass and sage, with a berry blue accent. Classic Roman capitals, like engraved brass, paired with a friendly grotesque.
